Discover the Treasure of Vix

The Musée du Pays Châtillonnais – Trésor de Vix: an essential stopover on the Celts’ route. Discovered in January 1953, the tomb of the Lady of Vix is the most prestigious princely burial from the end of the first Iron Age (around 500 BC). The Lady, reclining on a chariot, was adorned with precious jewelry, including a gold torc, a masterpiece of Celtic goldsmithing. At its side, the famous bronze vase, of extraordinary size (height: 1.64m) and admirable aesthetics.

Rich in eight centuries of history and architecture, the castle of Montigny-sur-Aube, located within the National Forest Park, combines culture and heritage with horticulture and gastronomy.
